The Award-Winning The Columbus Dispatch

The Columbus Dispatch and its website, Dispatch.com, were named best in Ohio during the 2015 Ohio Associated Press Media Editor's annual conference and award luncheon in Columbus. 

The Columbus Dispatch won 32 awards, and 13 of them were first-place awards, including general excellence for print and "best digital presence" for its website, Dispatch.com. The Dispatch staff won first for best use of social media. Judges said the Dispatch's Facebook feed "gives readers what they want and need in an informative and entertaining way."

The Columbus Dispatch, Student Press Law Center receive Pulliam First Amendment Award

The Columbus Dispatch and the Student Press Law Center have been awarded the Eugene S. Pulliam First Amendment Award for their fight against hidden campus crime rates and how crime is handled. 

Presented by the Sigma Delta Chi Foundation, the Society of Professional Journalists' educational foundation, the award and its $10,000 prize recognize a person or organization that has fought to protect and preserve one or more of the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment. It is given in memory of Eugene S. Pulliam, publisher of The Indianapolis Star and The Indianapolis News from 1975 until his death in 1999. He was a staunch supporter of the First Amendment. The Columbus Dispatch is Being Recognized

Dispatch Media Group was recently commended in an April 6 article published by the International Newsmedia Marketing Association. The article, entitled Marketing Columbus Dispatch’s “brand essence” delivers data-driven, measurable audience results, details the customer-focused changes that have re-branded Dispatch into an industry leader.
